Each dipper is hand-carved in Kenya from wild olive wood, a dense hardwood that stands up to daily dipping and years of washing. The grain runs in warm golden tones streaked with darker swirls, so it looks as good sitting in the honey jar as it does on a linen napkin. Because every dipper is carved by hand from a single piece of wood, the grain pattern, color and shape differ from one to the next, and yours will be the only one exactly like it.
